&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Antony Blinken&lt;/strong&gt; is the Majority Staff Director of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and serves as senior foreign policy adviser to the Committee's chairman, Sen. Joseph Biden (D-DE). He served on the National Security Council staff at the White House from 1994 to 2001. From 1994-1998 he was Clinton's chief foreign policy speechwriter and from 1999 to 2001 he was principal adviser to President Clinton on U.S. relations with Europe. Prior to joining the Clinton Administration, Mr. Blinken was a lawyer in New York and Paris. He has been a reporter for The New Republic magazine and has written about foreign policy for The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine and other publications.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Edward P. Joseph&lt;/strong&gt; is a Visiting Scholar at Johns Hopkins University's School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS).&lt;/p&gt;
