After coming from Japan in July 2008, Rena has met a lot of nice people at AU, struggled with tons of work, and had fun in DC.  During her stay in the U.S., she hopes to take some domestic trips and to take many pictures of beautiful/interesting scenery.  She enjoyed that so far in 18 countries including Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Guatemala, Mexico, Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa, Hungary, Czech Republic, Austria, the UK, China, Korea, Indonesia, Australia, Canada and the USA.

In Japan, Rena majored Economics in Kobe University, worked at a securities company in Osaka, and would like to work in the U.S. after her graduation.  Her summer internship experience in Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya enabled her to narrow down her concentration - Development Management in Agricultural Value Chains.  Through various opportunities at AU, she also became interested in Human Rights, Post-conflict Development, and Traditional Culture.

As Friday Forum coordinators, Sheena, Xingni and Rena welcome your willingness to organize Friday Forum and your suggestions.  Also, she would like to help new ID people, especially international students, to enjoy the program with us.
